Our shelter needs are always changing depending on the families we have in shelter and the donations we have received. We continue to update this list and thank our incredible neighbours and community members for helping us meet the needs of the women and children staying with us as they transition into safety and independence.
CHILD & YOUTH PROGRAM
We are always seeking gift cards to kid-friendly activities, such as Cineplex.
URGENT NEEDS
We are looking for DVD Players for our youth programming, arts & crafts supplies, women’s and children’s pajamas, clear storage totes and plastic shelving. We are always in need of the following items:
- Toilet paper & paper towels
- Bed Pillows
- PJs for women (all sizes)
- PJs for children (all sizes)
- Laundry baskets (plastic)
- Flashlights (Costco 3 pack of Duracell)
- Single /twin blankets (easy to wash)
- Gift Cards: Costco, WalMart, Canadian Tire, Home Hardware, President’s Choice (No Frills, Zehrs, Loblaws, Shoppers Drug Mart, Real Canadian Superstore, The Independent Grocer)
Kitchen Items
- Freezer bags (large/ medium)
- Plastic wrap
- Aluminum foil
- Parchment paper
- Kitchen knives (new)
- Scissors (all purpose)
- Spoons (for eating cereal, soup, stirring coffee)
- Corelle cereal / soup bowls
- Hot water bottles (new)
- Scouring soap pads (like SOS)
- Lysol disinfecting spray
- Lysol wipes
- Dish soap
Necessities
- New underwear for women (all sizes)
- Pajamas (all sizes)
- Slippers (new)
- Heating pads (new)

- Garbage bags – large black bags or large clear bags

- Batteries (AA/AAA/ 9 volt)

For the safety and privacy of the women and children residing in our shelter, we ask that ALL donation deliveries be arranged in advance.
