ANNOUNCEMENT: Walk This Way

This year, Green Haven Shelter for Women is excited to announce the first ever Walk This Way fundraising event in support of survivors of abuse and violence. We are walking 2000 steps (1.6 kms) to advocate for all individuals live free from violence in our community and to support survivors of gender-based violence.

Walkers will be wearing green or white shoes. There will be a shoe decorating station where you can express your support creatively. Staff and volunteers will be on-site to help all participants with shoe design and inspiration. Shoes of all kinds are welcome (sneakers, high heels, boots, etc.)

All proceeds go directly to Green Haven Shelter for Women to help abused women and their children receive counselling, crisis intervention, and safe refuge while enabling them to make the difficult transition from abuse to a safe living environment.
